North Dakota - North Eastern:

BE/BC Rheumatologist needed in a community of approximately 50,000. Department currently consists of 1 other Rheumatologist. The hospital is an integrated health system with it’s headquarters on a 90-acre medical campus in northeastern North Dakota.  It serves the residents of northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota (a population base of 225,300), employs over 3,300 individuals and includes: a 232-bed acute care hospital, and a 190+ physician medical group. Teaching opportunities are available through the local University School of Medicine.

Compensation will be $170,000 plus benefits.  Benefits include life, health, disability, dental and malpractice insurance, as well as vacation, CME time, and a relocation allowance.  In addition there is an excellent pension and profit sharing program.

The community has approximately 50,000 residents and offers diverse shopping opportunities, unique restaurants, live theatre, its own symphony, new shopping centers and many other signs of growth.  It also boasts strong public and private schools. The Public School District offers 12 elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, five private schools, an adult education center and an alternative school for students 16 and over. The area offers post-secondary education through the oldest and most respected institution in North Dakota and a Technical College.

This community is truly one in which friends share stories from the front porch, children sell lemonade on the street corner and sports fans join to cheer on local teams.

South Dakota - South Eastern:

Full time BE/BC Rheumatology opportunity available in a community of approximately 20,000.  This opportunity offers a guaranteed salary of $200,000 for 3 years with a production incentive plan.  In addition they are also offering 28 days of vacation/CME and money for CME, 14 days of sick leave, 401K & profit sharing , a generous relocation allowance, partnership available after 1 year, life/health/liability/long-term disability insurance, and the potential for a signing bonus.

If you love the outdoors this is the place to be: a large 20 mile, clean lake offers boating, sailing, and excellent fishing.  The lake attracts ducks and geese by the thousands during the fall migration offering excellent duck and goose hunting.  If hunting is your passion; the pheasant hunting in the area attracts hunters nationwide.  There are multiple biking and hiking trails in town as well as around the lake offering miles of safe, clean recreation.  There is also a municipal as well as a private country club available for the golf enthusiast.

The area is rich in Northern European culture and its reflected in the architecture and cleanliness of the community.  The public K-12 school system recently completed a new 12.5 million dollar high school and an 8.5 million dollar Civic Recreation Center.  There is a parochial system and a four-year liberal arts college.  The major industry in the community is healthcare.  There is a state sponsored psychiatric and chemical dependency facility providing both in and out patient services.
